It’s been awhile since I posted anything here. I’ve just been taking a break, planning personal stuff and more. Of course the planets and stars keep on trucking in the mean time. Here’s a quick thought about Mars moving from Scorpio to Sagittarius on August 2nd
Folks are eeking out their last little bits of ego centered savagery due to Mars sitting in the 29th degree of Scorpio. Don’t think the verbal fireworks will be over once Mars moves into Sagittarius though. That’s laughable. Sagittarius loves to talk. Sagittarius also loves its self. Just not in as a covert and manipulative way as an unrefined Scorpio Mars. While Scorpio Mars lays in wait for a bit; Sag Mars will blow its top relatively quickly and then act as if nothing. Mars in Sag needs to take physical action to dispel that mental or emotional discomfort and while talking(typing) is mental, it is also a physical act. Be ready

There are no Gemini’s. There are some people with their sun in Gemini however. There are no Pisces’s. There are people who have some (never all) planets and/or points that are colored by Piscean energy.
Let astrology open you up to the multifaceted you. Not a diminished caricature or incomplete picture. Astrology has focused on more than just the zodiac signs for centuries across most civilizations. Don’t sell it or yourself short by reducing who you are to just your sun sign.
Scorpio New Moon 11/2015- So close it hurts but pain can be pleasure
New moon is coming on 11/11 ooooooohhhh
Yes folks we have a new moon waiting to signal the beginning of a new cycle around 12:45pm ET on November 11th. The celestial meet and greet takes place in the heavy sign of Scorpio. Scorpio often gets a bad rap but it really is a necessary sign. Astrologers love to play up the transformative angle of Scorpio while dabblers love to play up the possessive part of the scorpio. They are both right though. Scorpio is a fixed sign so it looks to build upon what it already has at its’ disposal. That means that all of the nasty, muck ridden, shadow lit things that it has, Scorpio is willing to see if it serves a purpose. If it doesn’t the urgency with which a planet moving thru Scorpio toses is as about as legendary as the strength it holds on with.
With the sun and moon meeting in Scorpio, we can look to Scorpio themed things for this current cycle- sex, death, rebirth, shadow sides, taxes, shared resources, and intimacy. I feel like the last one needs to be repeated-INTIMACY. Oftentimes, sex gets overplayed as the domain of Scorpio when it is really about intimacy. The joining of two in space that is vulnerable, emotionally wrought, yet undeniably satisfying. That is where the Scorpio magic happens.
This new moon in Scorpio certainly looks to be pointing to that piece of Scorpio this go round. The uncomfortable desire to get intimate in a way that bares us is coming. Chiron in Pisces forms a trine with the new moon so old wounds may flare in a way that only deep and honest conversation with close loved ones can heal if we access the conjunction of Mercury in Scorpio. Obsessing over how to get the upper hand and how to make the most out of the situation defeats the purpose of getting close so allow things to unfold as they will. Jupiter in Virgo trines this new moon so a desire to get ducks in a row to feel better may rise but don’t forget to trust the process. Balance the desire for practical results with intuitive knowing. We want to connect deeply and the levels of our being are steering us in ways to do so that may not make sense consciously. They may hurt or seem like emotional suicide. Do it anyway. Scorpio sun makes treasure out of trash constantly and Scorpio moon knows how to breakthrough those layers of hard rock to get to some gems.
There is a Steven Universe connection here to transformation, intimacy, fusion and Scorpio that I won’t go into right now but I will leave you with this awesome Garnet pic I found because if this isn’t a fabulous example of it, I can’t help you understand anything.
As always, I suggest that Scorpio season is the time to look at your tax situation whatever it may be and get prepared. Digging up missing resources is a use of Scorpio energy and waiting for the tax man to hit you is often a bad idea. Strike fast and prepared and smoothly so Uncle Sam gets only the bare minimum of what he is owed. Looking at will and estate paperwork is a good idea as well because the only other thing we can’t avoid forever besides taxes is death.
Overall, I suggest we all prepare to get uncomfortable and have some folks we can trust deeply around us to mirror what we need to grow. Scorpio transforms self but it does so thru experiences and emotional connections it makes outside of its self. Be firm. Be loving. Be vulnerable. How this new moon will affect you specifically all depends on your natal chart. Check to see what planets you have in Scorpio as well as which house it rules for clues as to where you should focus you energy on intimate, transformative connections. Samhain’s coming…hunh?!?!
It is said that the veil between worlds is the thinnest on Samhain/Halloween. That is not entirely true. The veil is the thinnest around what many folks celebrated as one of the four cross quarters. This particular midpoint happens between the autumnal equinox and the winter solstice. In Western tropical astrology, that translates into the sun residing at 15° Scorpio. This puts the thinning of the veil typically between November 7th and 8th each year instead of October 31st.
This is largely due to a change in calendars. The Julian calendar was a week slower than the current Gregorian one we use. This fact combined with the Christian church’s decision to mix non christian holidays with their own gave rise to All Saint’s Eve and All Hallow’s Eve meshing into what we now know as Halloween.
This year’s midpoint is 11/7 (some divine comedy there for those get it) so it’s not too late at all to peer beyond the veil, if you choose to. If nothing else, celebrate with deeply discounted candy and a libation for those who have gone before us. A very Scorpio thing to do if I do say so.
